I watched people around me — relatives, neighbours, friends — pay ₹500, ₹1,000, sometimes ₹5,000 to placement agents just to get shortlisted for a ₹12,000/month job. I've seen people take loans to pay for job portals. That felt deeply, fundamentally wrong to me.

Every existing portal in India either charges the candidate, charges the employer heavily, or buries real jobs under promoted garbage. The people who most need jobs — the delivery partner, the ITI graduate, the woman returning to work after years — are the ones who can least afford to pay for the privilege of finding one.

So I built DesiJobs.in. No VC funding. No IPO plan. No premium tier. Just a simple promise: if you need a job in India, this place will always be free for you. Forever.
