At DesiJobs.in ("we", "us", or "our"), we are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our job seekers ("Seekers") and recruiters ("Employers"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, store, share, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
To keep our portal lightning-fast and highly secure, we collect only minimal, essential parameters:
- Account Credentials: Email, phone numbers, or third-party auth tokens (Google Auth, SMS OTP details) used during login.
- Job Seeker Profiles: Full name, target city, highest education level, work experience, notice period, CV document uploads, and lists of core skills.
- Recruiter / Company profiles: Business name, size, GSTIN (optional for boost verification), target locations, and recruiter contact details.
- Usage Metrics: Anonymous telemetry, active page views, and click records to audit and secure against automated spam bots.
2. Strict Seeker Contact Security Policy
To protect Indian workers from telemarketing, spam, or scams, **we enforce a strict double-blind contact release scheme**:
- Your mobile phone, WhatsApp number, and email addresses are **never** shown publicly to casual web visitors.
- They are **only** accessible to verified Employers whose listings you have explicitly applied to.
- Employers verified with GSTIN or strict audit clearance are allowed list access, but any unsolicited calls or promotional pitches result in instant account ban.
3. Recruiter Verification Audit
Employers acknowledge that all contact details (WhatsApp, phone, email) submitted during job creation are validated by our coordinators.
- If our safety filters flag keywords relating to placement fees, upfront security charges, or suspicious external payment links, the post goes under manual audit review.
- We actively cooperate with CyberCell India and other cyber police authorities. In case of verified scam listings, all metadata, logged IP addresses, and recruiter phone numbers will be handed over to legal authorities.
4. Data Deletion (Right to be Forgotten)
You have complete control over your data. At any time, you can edit your profile or permanently delete your account directly from your dashboard. Upon deletion request, all personal contact information, resumes, and profile metrics are permanently purged from our active Supabase databases within 24 hours.
